After a decisive victory in West Virginia, the Clinton Campaign today announced its Kentucky Steering Committee, made up of more than a hundred leaders across the state that are endorsing Hillary for President.
“We are honored to have the support of so many respected community leaders throughout Kentucky, all dedicated to making Hillary successful in Tuesday’s primary,” said State Director Jonathan Hurst.
Today’s announcement is the latest example of Hillary’s growing momentum across the Bluegrass State. The campaign has opened offices across Kentucky, and Hillary, former President Clinton, and Chelsea have actively campaigned throughout the state.

After a landslide victory in West Virginia, the Clinton Campaign today announced that former Kentucky Governors Wendell Ford, Paul Patton, John Brown, and Julian Carroll are endorsing Hillary for President. The endorsements demonstrate the widespread support Hillary continues to receive throughout the Bluegrass State.
“The Presidency is the hardest job in the world and the American people deserve a leader who can rise to the challenge,” said former Governor Wendell Ford. “In the thirty years I have known Hillary, she has consistently proven she can deliver results. Whether fighting to reform our nation’s health care system or offering a responsible solution to ending the War in Iraq, Hillary has proven time and again she has what it takes to get the job done.”
“The people of Kentucky need a President who has the strength, experience, and leadership to lead on day one," said former Governor Julian Carroll. “My friendship with Hillary goes back more than 30 years and I know she'll make a fine President. Hillary is the leader that Kentucky needs and I look forward to helping deliver victory for her on Tuesday.”
"I am proud to support Hillary today,” said former Governor John Y. Brown. “I had the opportunity to serve with President Clinton and I got to know Hillary as a person. When is the Voter Registration Deadline?
Voter registration ended on April 11, 2008.
What if I am an unaffiliated voter?
Voters who are not affiliated with a party (i.e., independents) can vote in the Democratic primary. But voters who are members of another party (e.g., Republicans) cannot.
What kind of ID do I need to bring to the polling place?
Most voters do not need to show ID to vote. But North Carolina requires voters to present ID if they (i) registered by mail on or after Jan. 1, 2003, and (ii) have not voted in person since they registered.
Can I get an absentee ballot?
No. The deadline was April 29. But, if it will be physically difficult for the voter to vote at the polling place, he or she may drive to the polling place and cast a vote from the vehicle. Alternatively, voters who need extra help can obtain assistance just by asking the chief judge at their polling place. If a voter needs assistance, he/she may bring a family member to help him/her.
What are the provisional ballot rules?
Voters may cast provisional ballots if they believe that they are registered to vote but their name does not appear on the county’s official list of registered voters. If a voter votes provisionally because he/she is required to show ID, but lacks ID, he/she may present it at the county board of elections office until May 13 at 11 am. Indy 500 Driver Sarah Fisher Endorses Hillary for President
INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Hoosiers for Hillary today announced the endorsement of groundbreaking IndyCar Series driver and team owner Sarah Fisher.
"We need a president who will stand up for us and be a fighter for Hoosiers and all Americans," said Fisher, who will qualify for her seventh Indianapolis 500 this month. "Hillary will be a president who steers our country in the right direction and puts our economy back on track. Something Hillary and I have in common is our commitment to achieving our goals, leaving roadblocks behind and refusing to be knocked down. Hillary is a doer and a fighter who keeps getting out there, going for the checkered flag."
"I’m honored to have Sarah’s support. Not only has she broken down barriers in her sport, but she continues to be a role model for young people aspiring to realize their dreams," Clinton said. “Trailblazers like Sarah prove that with hard work and determination, anything is possible in our country."
Fisher, 27, of Indianapolis, has competed in six Indianapolis 500s. She is the first woman to earn a pole position at an IndyCar Series event. Fisher is also the youngest woman ever to compete in the Indianapolis 500 at age 19 and the fastest female to qualify for the world’s greatest race, with a four-lap average of 229.439 mph in 2003. She is the first female owner/driver of an IndyCar Series team and will compete in the 92nd Indianapolis 500 on May 25.

We know that she is capable of both uniting and leading. We saw her going town by town through New York in 2000, including places where Clinton-bashing was a popular sport. She won over skeptical voters and then delivered on her promises and handily won re-election in 2006.
Mrs. Clinton must now do the same job with a broad range of America’s voters. She will have to let Americans see her power to listen and lead, but she won’t be able to do it town by town.
When we endorsed Mrs. Clinton in 2006, we were certain she would continue to be a great senator, but since her higher ambitions were evident, we wondered if she could present herself as a leader to the nation.
