The Truth about the McCain-Palin Health Care Plan

To the McCain Community:

Barack Obama and Joe Biden have consistently lied to Americans about John McCain's plan. Their claims have failed every fact check from CBS to the Washington Post. John McCain is not going to raise taxes on middle class families. Barack Obama and Joe Biden are the only ones in this race that plan to raise taxes. Their recent attacks have become increasingly misleading. Read the fact sheet below or click here to learn the truth about the McCain-Palin Health Care Plan.

Sincerely,

Doug Holtz-Eakin
Senior Policy Advisor
McCain-Palin 2008

The Truth about the McCain-Palin Health Care Plan

Barack Obama And Joe Biden Have Consistently Lied To Americans About John McCain's Plan. Their claims have failed every fact-check - from CBS to the Washington Post. John McCain is not going to raise taxes on middle class families. Barack Obama and Joe Biden are the only ones in this race that plan to raise taxes.

OBAMA FICTION
John McCain Will Tax Health Care Benefits For The First Time And Will Be the Largest Middle Class Tax Increase In History.

THE FACTS
This Obama charge is a blatant mischaracterization of the McCain Health Plan. It only focuses on the fact that the value of the employer provided insurance will now show up as additional income for the employees - what he fails to mention - is that John McCain's generous refundable tax credit ($5,000 for families and $2,500 for individuals) will not only shield millions of families from a tax increase but will actually give them MORE dollars to invest in their health care needs.

The McCain Plan DOES NOT tax:

Premiums paid by families and individuals

Employers for providing health care coverage

Medical expenses like the cost of a procedure or medication

Insurance claims

Approach Supported By Obama's Own Advisor: This is an approach supported by Barack Obama's own Senior Economic Advisor Jason Furman who wrote that "we could scrap the current deduction altogether and replace it with progressive tax credits that, together with other changes, would ensure that every American has affordable health insurance."

Better Than "Members of Congress": Under the McCain Plan, your employer can provide you with health insurance as good as a "Member of Congress" (approximately $12,000), and you would pay no more in taxes - regardless of your tax bracket. In fact, you would have additional money left over from the McCain tax credit to put in a health savings account.

Where Is The Middle-Class "Tax Increase"? If you or your family is in the 28% bracket, with an income of $180,000, you could receive employer provided health insurance even better than a Member of Congress, with a cost of almost $18,000, with no increase in taxes. Even the liberal leaning Tax Policy Center, agrees that the McCain proposals will result in a "net tax benefit" of more than $1,200 for an average tax payer. A recent Lewin Group study estimated savings of more than $1,400 per American family - almost three times the savings as under the Obama plan.

OBAMA FICTION
The McCain Plan Will Reduce Medicare Spending By Billions By "Cutting Benefits, Eligibility or Both."

THE FACTS
John McCain believes that we can achieve savings in Medicare without reducing benefits or eligibility. He has proposed common-sense reforms that will not only put Medicare on a path of financial stability but ensure access to quality care for millions of Americans. Some of the policies proposed by the McCain plan include:

Promote payment reform that allows us to move away from the current fragmented and volume-based service to a system which rewards coordinated and quality focused care.

Eliminate Medicare fraud and abuse to ensure that nearly $60 billion a year, almost 10 percent of total Medicare spending, that goes to line the pocket of criminals instead of providing quality care for seniors.

Ensure that drug premiums for the wealthiest Americans are not being subsidized by the middle class.

Promote a new generation of treatment models that better manage chronic care conditions while rewarding prevention and wellness.

Greater use of Health IT and medical homes to promote greater co-ordination of care.

Reduce drug costs by allowing greater use of generics (including bio-generics).
The Obama Spin: If some of the proposals above sound familiar to Senator Obama's proposals including - better managing chronic care diseases, greater use of health IT, promoting prevention and greater use of generic drugs - because they are. Only the liberal media and the Obama campaign would characterize similar proposals as "savings" in the their plan and "cutting benefits, eligibility or both" in the McCain plan.

OBAMA FICTION
John McCain Will Tax Health Care Benefits For The First Time And Send The Money Straight To The Insurance Companies.

THE FACTS
Another desperate attack by the Obama campaign. Here is what they purposefully fail to mention - the credit goes to the insurance company that the American family chooses to get coverage from, anywhere in the nation. The power of choice lies with the family - not government bureaucrats or insurance companies.

Putting Families In Charge: Under the McCain Plan American families will not only decide where the tax credit should be directed for their coverage needs but any additional money left over after purchasing coverage will be controlled by the family in a portable health savings account. Ridiculing this line of strange attack, The Associated Press stated, "Of course it would, because it's meant to pay for insurance. That's like saying money for a car loan will go straight to the car dealer."

Obama Criticizing His Own Approach: Most importantly, Senator Obama is criticizing an approach that is used by his own HOPE credits - where tax payer money simply goes from the federal government to colleges.

OBAMA FICTION
Americans With Pre-Existing Condition Under The McCain Plan Will Not Find Coverage.

THE FACTS
John McCain believes that no American should be denied access to quality and affordable coverage simply because of a pre-existing condition. As President, John McCain will work with governors to develop a best practice model that states can follow - a Guaranteed Access Plan or GAP - that would reflect the best experience of the states to ensure these patients have access to health coverage. There would be reasonable limits on premiums, and assistance would be available for Americans below a certain income level.

OBAMA FICTION
The McCain Health Plan Will Damage Employer Provided Insurance For Millions of Americans.

THE FACTS
The McCain health plan builds on the employer-based system. Employers will have the same incentive to provide health insurance as they do today since they will continue to deduct the cost of health insurance they provide to employees.

Millions With Employer Coverage Will Do Better Under The McCain Plan: Millions of American families with employer sponsored coverage in all tax brackets with the same coverage as a "Members of Congress" will now come out ahead with additional funds going into a portable health savings account. Importantly, younger and healthier employees with the McCain health care tax credit will have a bigger incentive to stay with the employers. For example, a 25-year-old employee in the 25 percent tax bracket with a $2,500 tax credit could either purchase a policy in the individual market for the same amount or stay with his employer plan and receive a $5,000 policy with an additional $1,250 to invest in a portable health savings account. Why would people choose fewer benefits for more money?
So Why Is Barack Obama Hiding Details About His Plan?

Barack Obama's Plan Will Harm Employer Coverage
The Obama plan includes a $179 billion a year employer mandate. The mandate requires employers to either provide "meaningful" coverage or pay a tax towards the government plan. Faced with tough economic conditions and rising health costs this creates a clear incentive for employers to drop coverage and move families into the new government plan. A Lewin Group study which examined a similar employer mandate combined with a national plan, like the Obama plan, concluded that almost 52 million individuals would lose their private employer coverage. To maintain their competitive edge, others employers will follow - spelling the demise of the employer coverage system.

Barack Obama's Plan Continues The Push Toward Government-Run Healthcare
The Obama plan will create a brand new government-run health plan at the cost of $243 billion a year - a financial burden of more than $3,000 a year on American families.

Barack Obama's Plan Will Damage Private Coverage
The government-run plan will have a clear advantage over private insurance since it will be subsidized by American taxpayers. A recent analysis of both plans by the nonpartisan CATO Institute concluded that the Obama government-run plan will be able to "keep its premiums artificially low...since it can turn to the U.S. Treasury to cover any shortfalls" resulting in "undercutting the private market." According to Wall Street Journal, the goal of the Obama plan "...like HillaryCare in the 1990s, is to displace current private coverage and switch people to the default government option."

Battles in Lake Co. Indiana may decide Indiana race

Battles in Lake Co. may decide Indiana race
By TOM COYNE, Associated Press Writer Tom Coyne, Associated Press Writer
2 hrs 25 mins ago

CROWN POINT, Ind. – An Indiana county still recovering from a primary night black eye is embroiled in a new election-year drama that could determine whether Democrats win Indiana's presidential contest for the first time in more than four decades.

Weeks after questions arose over suspect voter registrations, a Republican lawsuit seeks to close early voting sites in three heavily Democratic Lake County cities: Gary, East Chicago and Hammond. Democrats say the GOP is trying to suppress minority voting. Four judges have already weighed in on the case, which is headed to the state's Court of Appeals.

The flaps have cast renewed suspicion over the heavily Democratic county that former Attorney General Robert Kennedy once called one of the nation's most corrupt.

"The amount of political corruption that takes place in this county is amazing, for a lack of a better word," said Marie Eisenstein, an assistant professor of political science at Indiana University Northwest in Gary. "There's a lot of it, so people have a right to be suspicious."

Local election officials are scrambling to assure voters that they aren't engaged in familiar political shenanigans in a gritty area dominated by steel mills and oil refineries along Lake Michigan.

Gary Mayor Rudy Clay accuses Republicans of using scare tactics by raising the specter of voter fraud in an attempt to make it harder for people in the county's northern communities — many with large minority populations — to cast ballots.

"That is a smoke screen by the Republican Party to slow down, stop and disenfranchise people in Gary, Indiana, and the north end of the county," said Clay, the county's Democratic Party chairman.

Barack Obama needs a strong showing in Lake County if he is to win the state, which no Democratic presidential candidate has done since Lyndon Johnson in 1964.

Indiana's second-largest county is friendly territory for the senator from neighboring Illinois. It has gone for the Republican presidential candidate only once since 1960 — Richard Nixon in 1972 — and its population is Indiana's most diverse, at 26 percent black and 14 percent Hispanic. The city of Gary, which overwhelmingly supported Obama in the primary, is 85 percent black.

Many polls show the race between Obama and Republican John McCain is a tossup in Indiana.

The pre-election squabbling is "embarrassing to me and embarrassing to the county," said Terry Stanton, 25, a financial analyst from Hobart.

Memories are still fresh of the late vote tallies that delayed results of the May primary. Clay and Democratic Mayor Thomas McDermott of Hammond sniped at each other in late-night appearances on CNN, and the nation waited well past midnight to learn that New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton had defeated Obama.

In 2003, the state Supreme Court threw out an East Chicago mayoral primary because people were paid to cast absentee ballots. In 1999, millions in city money was spent paving East Chicago sidewalks and driveways to curry favor with voters in the mayoral primary.

Clay insists that's in the past.

"This is the first time in a long time that Indiana's become a battleground state in the presidential election and Lake County is in the battle," he said.

Republican Secretary of State Todd Rokita said some of the problems in Lake County, including questionable registrations submitted by the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN, are occurring in other states as well.

"I'm not sensing this is being done by any local machinery there," Rokita said of Lake County.

A record 4.5 million voters are registered in Indiana this year, and Rokita has encouraged early voting to ease congestion on Election Day. More than 221,000 absentee ballots had been cast statewide as of Oct. 24.

Early voting was delayed by more than a week in the three Lake County communities after Republicans on the county election board voted against opening satellite sites in them.

Republicans contend a single site in Crown Point, in the county's southern portion, is sufficient. They fear additional centers would increase the risk of fraud — even though Indiana has one of the nation's toughest voter identification laws.

Democrats say it's unfair to limit early voting to Crown Point, a predominantly white community not easily accessed by poor, minority residents in other parts of the county who require public transportation.

"I think what they know is that minorities are supportive of Barack Obama," said Democratic state Sen. Earline Rogers of Gary.

McCain vs. Obama: IT Decision Makers Evenly Split

Alot of people are thinking about how this years presidential election is going to impact their lives... have you ever thought about what the company you work for is thinking... of course they are thinking the same things... budgets, new tax policies and other key issues... Here is is an article that helps you understand what they are really thinking... and get this, it is not just about the Presidential, but also the Governor elections too... there are 10 of them...Enjoy

IT Decision Makers Evenly Split on McCain vs. Obama
DATE: 2008-09-18
By Jessica Davis

While nearly everybody is nervous about the state of finance markets, rising energy prices and the troubling economy, not all IT spending decision makers agree on the fix. The most recent CDW IT Monitor index survey found IT spending decision makers evenly split on whether they favored Obama or McCain for president. But many agreed the election would have a significant impact on IT spending and IT staffing decisions at their companies.
IT spending decision makers are evenly split on the presidential candidate they favor and who they think would be better for the country and better for their businesses–28 percent favor Barack Obama and 28 percent favor John McCain.

That’s according to the most recent CDW IT Monitor Index that measures sentiment among IT spending decision makers.

"There are two different approaches to reinvigorating economy from different candidates, along with the fact that we have this tough economy," said Mark Gambill, the vice president at CDW responsible for the CDW IT Monitor index. "You've got governing principles that will go on wildly different directions."

The CDW IT Monitor for August held steady at 73, which is where it was in June. CDW conducts the survey every two months as a way to track the direct and momentum of the U.S. IT market place.

In the most recent survey, 36 percent of respondents said that election results would impact their company's IT budget decisions. A full 29 percent said that the election's outcome would affect IT staffing decisions within their companies, and nearly half–48 percent–believe the outcome will impact tax policies. Thirty-eight percent of the companies said the outcome would impact offshore outsourcing.

Government IT decision makers were slightly more upbeat in their overall sentiment with a score of 74, yet they anticipated an even greater impact from upcoming elections than did their corporate counterparts. Three out of five said they expected the outcome of the election to have a significant impact on their organizations. And 74 percent of local government organizations and 63 percent of state government organizations cite budget, taxes and the deficit as the most important election issues.

Gambill pointed out that in addition to the presidential election there are 10 gubernatorial races across the country this year as well.

"That will affect state and local budgets as well," he said. "A new governor typically brings in his own CIO."

Small businesses will be the hardest hit if the economy remains tough, said Gambill, as they look to hold off on infrastructure spend. But large corporations are also likely to push off refresh cycles as well, he said.

Joe Biden says McCain's speech was just words with no substance

Joe Biden says McCain's speech was just words with no real substance.

John McCain just accepted the Republican nomination and adopted the most conservative platform in the history of his party.

After days of negative attacks -- and no mention of real proposals to fix our economy, get more people health care, or make America safer -- the party that brought you eight years of disastrous policies is asking for four more.

Well, not if we have anything to say about it.

Across this nation, people like you have joined this movement because you believe that we are better than the past eight years. And now that we are entering the final stretch, it's going to take all of us to bring the change we need.

Step up at this crucial moment and make a donation of $5 or more to change our country.

After the last eight years, it's up to you to keep America's promise alive.

How can John McCain pull us out of the deep hole we're in when he voted with George Bush more than 90% of the time?

The American people deserve more than a 10% chance at change.

No matter what McCain says, we can't bring about change by relying on the same ideas that have failed us for the last eight years.

Show the McCain campaign that people coming together, giving what they can afford, and working toward a common purpose will transform this country.

Change begins with you. Please make a donation of $5 or more now:

https://donate.barackobama.com/changeweneed

Thanks for everything you're doing,

Joe

John McCain deeply honored to accept the Republican nomination for President of the United States

Tonight, I was deeply honored to accept the Republican nomination for President of the United States. I am proud of my record of service to our country and would be humbled to continue my service as your next president.

I have often said that I owe my country more than she has ever owed me. I am deeply indebted to our country. I never let a single day go by without giving thanks for the freedoms we are so fortunate to have as citizens of the greatest nation on earth. This is just one of the reasons I have always put the needs of our country before my own self-interest.

I'm very fortunate to have found a true partner in this election, Governor Sarah Palin. Governor Palin and I have a lot in common. One thing in particular is the nickname "maverick." I've been a maverick in Washington and I can't wait to have another maverick join me on the ticket and in the White House as we stand up to the status quo that has stifled reform for so long.

My friends, our nation is in deep need of reform. Our government is broken and Governor Palin and I, along with other Reform Republicans, are ready to lead; ready to shake up Washington and bring this needed reform. Our ticket, from top to bottom, is ready to break our country's dependence on foreign oil, ready to reform the tax code and reduce your taxes, and ready to support our men and women in uniform.

Unfortunately, Democratic operatives have chosen to spend this week attacking us. They have stooped lower than anyone could have imagined. And with just 60 days left in this election, we must respond to these attacks with the truth. McCain-Palin Victory 2008 is a fund set up to do just this; to set the record straight and get the truth out to all Americans who support our cause.

Will you help our cause by following this link to make a generous contribution of $50, $100, $250, $500, $1,000 or more? Any amount you can give today will go a long way in responding to these shameful attacks.

The McCain-Palin Campaign and the rest of our ticket for reform are ready to serve our country. With your help and support, we can make this happen on November 4th. Stand with us now and join our team.

Sincerely,

John McCain

P.S. I have spent my life in service to my country and with your help, I will be able to serve her a little while longer as the President of the United States. I have found a dynamic partner in this election, Governor Sarah Palin. We're ready to lead our Party to victory this November and to govern effectively afterward. We ask that you join our cause today by following this link. Thank you.

I officially accepted the nomination as the first female Republican vice presidential candidate

Last night I was humbled and honored to make history as I officially accepted the nomination as the first female Republican vice presidential candidate.

I accept the call to help John McCain serve and defend America. I accept the challenge of a tough fight in this election, against confident opponents and at a crucial hour for our country. And I accept the privilege of serving with a man who has come through much harder missions.

I cannot tell you how special last night was for me and how enthused I am to be John McCain's running mate. Our nominee for president is a true profile in courage, and people like that are hard to come by. He's a man who wore the uniform of this country for 22 years, and refused to break faith with those troops in Iraq who have now brought victory within sight. And he's the man I know is ready to lead as our next Commander in Chief.

Friends, there is a time for politics and a time for leadership. There is a time to campaign and a time to put our country first. John McCain and I are putting our country first, because it's what true leaders do.

Unfortunately, as you've seen this week, the Obama/Biden Democrats have been vicious in their attacks directed toward me, my family and John McCain. The misinformation and flat-out lies must be corrected.

What you can do today is give whatever you can afford - right now - to McCain-Palin Victory 2008. Your support is very important as we face the Obama Democrats and their vicious attacks. We must have the finances to respond to the latest attacks the Democrats have launched at us. It doesn't matter if your donation is $25 or $250 - every little bit helps.

John McCain and I are ready to shake up Washington, ready to challenge the status quo, to serve the common good, and to leave this nation better than we found it. If you elect us as the next President and Vice President of the United States, I promise you, our country will always come first. Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Governor Sarah Palin

P.S. If character is the measure in this election, then I ask you to join our cause. Join our cause and help America elect a great man as the next president of the United States. Please follow this link to give $25, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1,000 or more to help us respond to the Democrats' attacks. Thank you.

$5 for Barack Obama

In the next 36 hours, the McCain campaign will be pouring millions of dollars -- if not tens of millions -- into negative attack ads against Barack Obama.

Before John McCain accepts the Republican nomination on Thursday, his campaign has to spend every last dollar of primary funds they've raked in from Washington lobbyists and special interest PACs.

Just yesterday, they aired a new negative ad in 14 swing states. His campaign manager even admitted that all McCain has to rely on is attacks, saying that for them, "This election is not about issues."

He doesn't want Americans to notice that the Republican platform is the most extreme we've ever seen -- opposing stem cell research, denying a woman's right to choose no matter what the circumstance, and continuing to spend $10 billion a month in Iraq.

With so much at stake, we can't allow another election to be determined by petty and divisive political tactics.

Make a donation of $5 or more to fight back against an unprecedented week of negativity from John McCain.

The McCain campaign is trying to distract voters from the real issues -- so we're going to focus on what they're trying to hide.

They've come out against the life-saving possibilities of stem cell research.

They don't even mention protecting equal pay for equal work.

They support huge tax cuts for the wealthiest 2% of Americans.

They've almost completely ignored the $10 billion we're spending every month in Iraq.

And they make zero exceptions for a woman's right to choose -- even in cases of rape, incest, or to protect the life of the mother.

If that all sounds like more of the same, that's because it is. John McCain is offering a third term of the disastrous Bush agenda, so it's no wonder his campaign would choose to focus on attacks instead of issues.

Please make your donation of $5 or more today:

https://donate.barackobama.com/fightback

I know we've asked a lot from supporters like you recently, and many of you contributed just last week.

But the stakes are high, and there are less than 9 weeks before Election Day. It's going to require unprecedented resources to defeat John McCain and bring about the change America so desperately needs.

Thank you for all you do,

David

Governor Palin will officially accept the nomination

Last Friday, our campaign was proud to welcome Governor Sarah Palin to the ticket as John McCain's running mate. Over the past few days, the campaign has received an outpouring of support in the form of record-breaking donations and crowds of supporters who have packed rallies in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Missouri.

Message from Vice President Sarah Palin

I'm honored and humbled to join this historic campaign as John McCain's running mate. I feel privileged to join a man I admire and the man I know is ready to lead our country as the next president.

Some of life's greatest opportunities come unexpectedly, and this is certainly the case for me. I never set out to run for office. But life has taken me on a course that first led to the Alaska Governor's office and now the country's first female Republican vice presidential candidate.

I want you to know that John McCain and I will challenge the status quo in Washington. We're ready to address our nation's great challenges - from reducing our dependence on foreign oil to cutting wasteful spending and creating good jobs for Americans. I look forward to working with him to achieve every goal he has set out during this campaign to improve the lives of all Americans.

As the mother of a son serving in the U.S. Army and the commander of Alaska's National Guard, there is no doubt in my mind that John McCain is prepared to serve as our next Commander in Chief.

What I admire most about John McCain is his unwavering ability to put our country first and to ask for nothing in return for his decades of service. He's shown his resolve, toughness and strength of heart in the darkest of places; all in service to his country. This speaks volumes about the type of selfless leadership John McCain will bring to the White House.

Our team is ready to lead the country as the next President and Vice President of the United States. We're ready to win in November and we won't be able to do it without your support. If you want change in Washington, then John McCain and I are asking for your support. Please join our team today!

Sincerely,

Governor Sarah Palin

P.S. Now is your opportunity to get involved and join our team. I'm proud to be John McCain's running mate and I'm ready pitch in and do my part to win in November. And that means asking you for a campaign contribution. Senators Obama and Biden have amassed a massive war chest - with hundreds of millions of dollars aimed at defeating me and John McCain. Will you help our campaign by making a generous donation today? Any amount you can give will go a long way in helping our ticket. Your support is appreciated. Thank you.

Obama says McCain has hit the "Low Road"

A few hours ago John McCain, the same man who just months ago promised to run a "respectful campaign," said he is "proud" of his latest attack ad.

That's the one attacking your enthusiasm, comparing me to Paris Hilton and Britney Spears, and making false claims about my energy plan.

Now, we're facing some serious challenges in this country -- our economy is struggling, energy costs are skyrocketing, and families don't have health care.

Given the seriousness of these issues, you'd think we'd be having a serious debate. But instead, John McCain is running an expensive, negative campaign against us. Each day brings a desperate new set of attacks.

And they're not just attacking me. They're attacking you.

They're mocking the desire of millions of Americans to step up and take ownership of the political process.

They're trying to convince you that your enthusiasm won't amount to anything -- that the people you persuade, the phone calls you make, the donations you give, the doors you knock on are all an illusion. They believe that in this election the same old smears and negative attacks will prevail again.

They're wrong.

And right now, we have a few hours left to prove them wrong in a very concrete way.

Make a donation of $5 or more before the July fundraising deadline at midnight tonight.

Show the strength of our movement for change.

Thank you,

Barack

The McCain campaign is bragging that they are out-raising and out-spending us.

The McCain campaign is bragging that they are out-raising and out-spending us.

They had their best month ever in June, and combined with the Republican National Committee, they now have more than $95 million in cash on hand.

With this massive fundraising effort, they claim they've been out-spending us 3-to-1 on TV ads over the past couple months.

Unfortunately, when it comes to collecting giant checks from Washington lobbyists and special interest PACs, McCain and the RNC do have a lot to brag about.

They are raking in huge donations from those who want to keep Washington just the way it is. And they are pulling ahead in the money race.

To compete against these big money interests in all 50 states, this campaign is relying on you.

We need to respond to the McCain campaign and show them how presidential campaigns should be funded -- by ordinary people like you giving only what you can afford.

I recorded a short video in my office about what we are up against and why now is the time to step up and make your first donation.

Watch the video and make a donation of $25 now:

As much money as they already have, this is just the beginning.

On top of their current $95 million in cash on hand, the campaign has said they expect to raise another $95 million by the end of the summer.

Based on their record so far, they're good for it.

They know that the big money interests will continue pouring millions into McCain's campaign, the RNC, and shadowy outside money groups -- whatever it takes to stop our movement so they can hold on to their influence in Washington.

It's going to take unprecedented resources and organization to compete against this broken, entrenched system.

Together, we've created the largest grassroots movement in history, and your efforts have put us in a position to build a campaign for change in all 50 states. Now, we need your help to keep us in a strong position at this crucial moment.

Watch the video and make your first donation of $25 to help this movement take on John McCain and the RNC:

https://donate.barackobama.com/stepup

Together, we have already accomplished so much in this campaign. But we cannot take it for granted.

This grassroots movement won't just happen on its own. It's up to you to make it happen.

John McCain and the RNC are committed to stopping us -- and they are prepared to raise and spend as much as they can from Washington lobbyists and special interest PACs.

We must let them know that this time, the election won't be bought by big money interests. And that a campaign of grassroots donors can overcome the entrenched Washington powers to bring about the change we need.

It's up to you. Own a piece of this movement by making a donation of $25 today:

Thanks,

David
