I am a fairly new caller from Texas and I wanted to pass on a few thoughts. I called this afternoon to some fellow Texans (mostly from the San Antonio area) ... one woman was initially undecided but now is definitely supporting Senator Obama and so is her husband! It was talking to her one on one that made a big difference. I explained the primary and caucus deal to her (which she did not know) and she was very appreciative. A father passing by his son's bedroom was astonished to see that his bed was nicely made and everything was picked up.

Then he saw an envelope, propped up prominently on the pillow that was addressed to 'Dad.'

With the worst premonition he opened the envelope with trembling hands and read the letter.

Dear Dad:

It is with great regret and sorrow that I'm writing you. I had to elope with my new girlfriend because I wanted to avoid a scene with mom, and you.
I have been finding real passion with Karen, and her is so nice. But I knew you would not approve of her because of all her piercing, tattoos, tight motorcycle clothes and the fact that she is much older than I am. But it's not only the passion...Dad she's pregnant.
Karen said that we will be very happy. She owns a trailer in the woods and has a stack of firewood for the whole winter.
We share a dream of having many more children. Karen has opened my eyes to the fact that marijuana doesn't really hurt anyone. We'll be growing it for ourselves and trading it with the other people that live nearby for cocaine and ecstasy. In the meantime we will pray that science will find a cure for AIDS so Karen can get better.

She deserves it.

GARRICK Jacobson was in custody at Surry Hills police station when he apparently discovered his girlfriend used to be a man.

Within hours of being released on bail, he went to her apartment and started "belting the hell" out of her, Downing Centre Local Court heard yesterday.

The two police officers who allegedly revealed the information about his then partner's past are now charged with breaching privacy laws.

In a rare prosecution under the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act, Constables Tyrone Stacey and Brendan Ritson have pleaded not guilty to unlawful disclosure of information.

The offence is punishable by up to two years' jail.

The court heard Jacobson, 26, was held in custody on September 24, 2006, after being arrested for suspected theft.

Stacey allegedly used the police computer system to access information about Jacobson's then girlfriend, Brigitte Fell, revealing her gender as male.

Ritson, who was looking over his colleague's shoulder, allegedly shouted to Jacobson: "You're r . . . ing a bloke", the court has heard.

After Jacobson denied it, he was allegedly shown paperwork indicating her gender and told: "See, it's a guy."

As the officers defended the case yesterday, Ms Fell gave evidence that the incident "ruined my life".

She told the court she was born a male, undergoing gender reassignment surgery about 12 years ago "in London , and it cost a fortune".

Complete strangers subsequently told her it was "the best sex change we've ever seen", she said.

But Ms Fell did not share the information about her surgery with Jacobson, her boyfriend of about two months, because "he was temperamental enough".

Police were aware of other domestic violence incidents involving the pair in the two days prior to the assault, the court heard.

Ms Fell said she woke in the early hours of September 25 to find Jacobson in her Surry Hills apartment, threatening to kill her.

"Your f . . .ing mates the cops told me you're a man - is it true?" he allegedly said.

Ms Fell said Jacobson then punched her repeatedly in the face.

"He was belting the hell out of me," she told the court.

She said she suffered concussion after falling over the balcony of her loft bedroom and woke up "covered in blood".

"My whole face was broken," she said.

Ms Fell spent several days in hospital after the attack, for which Jacobson is currently awaiting sentence in the District Court.

Ms Fell said she told only three or four of her "dearest friends" about her surgery but some police officers knew of it because she had sought their help after previous violent incidents.

This morning, the New York Times reported that Senator Clinton is launching what even her aides admit is a "kitchen sink" bombardment of negative attacks against Barack.

- and the new your times is always correct, right?

This is the same stale, Washington playbook that has driven so many Americans away from the political process.

-no what drove so many people away from politics is the lies that they told and the media coverage is really what drove people away from politics...but I beat they will never tell you that they are ones that control what people think...think about...just re-read your words you typed here.

Yesterday, in a speech on foreign policy, Senator Clinton misrepresented Barack's positions and compared him to George W. Bush.

She questioned his "wisdom to manage our foreign policy and safeguard our national security," despite her support for Bush's war in Iraq -- a war that Barack showed the judgment to oppose before it ever began.

-I don't see that as misrepresenting Baracks positions on foreign affairs and national security...I question Baracks too just like I question that guy that is our president now.

These negative tactics are exactly what voters have been rejecting this election season.

-that is the funny thing about getting people who will jump at the 1st person that they think is going to help them...like Hilary says Xerox...you get my point.

While others focus on trying to tear us down, we will continue to highlight what is most inspiring and most important about this campaign -- you.

-nobody is trying to tear you down...Barack probably is doing a great job in the senate...I guess...the funny thing is I never heard of him until he announced that he was running for president...and I live in Gary, In...and I get nothing but Chicago news...We might as well vote for Rev. Meeks he can deliver a great speech too...I watch him on TV all the time...but not for president.

And while others may try to score cheap political points, millions of ordinary Americans are talking to their neighbors, knocking on doors, making phone calls, and turning out to primaries and caucuses in record numbers to support this movement for change.

-that is because Barack promised to give them free health care or fine them for not having it...they are going to need the Health care when some other country invades the US...because we just got our balls cut off.

Barack has organized and inspired what yesterday's Time magazine called a "new breed of grassroots campaign -- viral, internet-based, built from the ground up."

-so have I...so I shouldve ran for President...oh yeah...it doesn't pay enough! Who doesn't know web 2.0 tactics...it aint rocket science...I think I will send this out to my mailing list.

Today, we are within reach of a goal that is unprecedented at this point in a presidential primary -- one million people giving to this campaign.

-if I really really focus on it...I could get 1 million people to give a dollar...esp with the amount of people that you encounter on the daily basis...you ever seen the free hugs campaign
