Joe Andrews says he is throwing his weight to Barack Obama

Have you heard about Joe Andrew?

Joe was Chairman of the Democratic National Committee under President Clinton, and is one of the so-called "superdelegates" who will cast a vote at this summer's nominating convention.

Earlier today, saying that "the tone and temperature of the race is now hurting" our party, he decided to switch his support from Hillary to Barack.

Joe isn't alone.

Across Indiana, folks are frustrated with the cynical and destructive political games being played in Washington -- and ready for the change Barack is offering. The reason is simple: If we don't change our politics, we won't see progress on the tough issues, whether it's healthcare, the mortgage crisis or the war in Iraq.

In a letter to his fellow superdelegates, Joe Andrew wrote that Senator Clinton's recent attacks are "distracting us from the issues that really affect all of our lives," like the price of gas and the cost of healthcare.

Indiana families deserve a president who will focus on solving our problems, rather than scoring political points -- and Barack Obama will be that president.

We have only five days left before the Indiana primary on May 6th, and we need to get the word out to as many Hoosiers as possible.

Watch the video and encourage your friends to vote for Barack on Tuesday:

Thank you for all that you do,

P.S. -- Here's a passage from Joe's letter to the superdelegates that I think you'll enjoy:

In an accident of timing, Indiana has been given the opportunity to truly make a difference. Hoosiers should grab that power and do what in their heart they know is right. They should reject the old negative politics and vote for true change. Don't settle for the tried and true and the simplistic slogans, but listen to your heart and dare to be inspired. Only a cynic would be critical of Barack Obama inspiring millions. Only the uninformed could forget that the candidate that wins in November is always the candidate that inspires millions.
