Barack Obama announces fellowship program in Indiana

This spring, we introduced an exciting new program called the Obama Organizing Fellowship.

The program will be a crucial part of our strategy in Indiana, and we've decided to expand it here. To make that happen, we need more people to join us.

Barack asked us to create this program because he sees his time as a community organizer on the South Side of Chicago as the transformative experience of his career.

Now he wants to share that kind of opportunity with you.

The Obama Organizing Fellows program will train a new generation of leaders -- not only to help us win this election, but to help strengthen our democracy in communities across the country.

If you'd like to be a part of this historic moment, but you missed the opportunity to apply for it this spring, I hope you'll apply for one of the spots in our expanded Indiana program.

Barack recorded a video explaining the program and what it means to him. Watch the video, apply to be an Obama Organizing Fellow in Indiana, and put your progressive values to work in the real world now:

This program is designed to give you real world organizing experience that will have a concrete impact on this election.

If you apply and are selected, you'll be trained in the basic organizing principles that this campaign and our movement for change are built on. You will be assigned to a community where you'll organize supporters.

The deadline to apply to the expanded Obama Organizing Fellows program in Indiana is Saturday, June 28th. Accepted Fellows will begin their assignment with a two-day training on July 12th and 13th and complete their assignment on August 22nd.

All Fellows will be provided with housing where needed.

Barack needs your help this summer in Indiana. Step up and become an Obama Organizing Fellow today:

P.S. -- If you can't take the time away from work or your family that's required for the fellowship program, you can still get involved.

Reach out to someone you know who may be interested in this program, and let them know we could use their help:
