Reno runaway found in hotel with M'ville man: "A Merrillville convenience store co-owner was found with his pregnant wife's 16-year-old sister early Monday morning in a Merrillville hotel room, five days after the girl disappeared from her home in Reno, Nev., police say.
Reno police said Parvinder Singh was with 16-year-old Karamjit Kaur when police from the local Gang Response Investigative Team, also known as GRIT, found the pair about 5:45 a.m. at America's Best Value Inn, 8250 Louisiana St. The girl was unharmed, police said.
Local federal authorities had not charged Singh with any crime Monday. Reno police Lt. Mike Whan said in a written statement that any possible criminal conduct remained under investigation Monday."
